South Street Centre would like to express our gratitude to Deborah Cypert, Soquel proprietress of Interior Visions.  She responded to a need we posted for an area rug and she offered a beautiful and brand new carpet!

Her generosity is greatly appreciated, especially because clean soft carpets and rugs help keep our space feeling like a home!  Feel free to visit her website or her showroom in Soquel.

Thank you, Deborah!

A Multicultural Singalong for Families with Babies & Young Children

“We celebrate the culture we create. Song by song we are strengthened.” –Joya Winwood

MotherSong was founded in France when doctors noticed a profound decline in postpartum depression  when mothers gathered to sing together. It was brought here by Deborah Bone, adopted by several Santa Cruz midwives, and passed onto Joya Winwood to plant firmly in Santa Cruz and beyond. One of the women who has sung with Joya and has learned most of her songs leads weekly sessions at South Street Centre. We are happy to have Ronda Rice leading these gatherings.
